A New Method for Mobility Logging Evaluation Based on Flowing Porosity in Shale Oil Reservoirs

چکیده

Shale oil reservoirs differ from conventional in several aspects, including the sedimentary model, accumulation mechanism, and reservoir characteristics, which pose significant challenges to their exploration development. Therefore, identifying location of optimal spots is crucial for successful development shale reservoirs. Mobility, particularly low-permeability with nano-scale pores, a petrophysical property that determines plan. However, two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance (2D-NMR) expensive has limited applicability, although it can estimate mobility. Hence, great significance find precise method evaluating mobility using logging. In this paper, we propose new assessing based on free porosity derived difference flowing detected at different ranges logging, utilizing Maxwell conductivity model efficiency theory. Our study shows longitudinal-T2 (T1-T2) NMR logging accurately evaluate oil. This demonstrated by comparing processing results obtained our proposed those 2D-NMR laboratory experiments. The predicted well logs also show good agreement experimental results, confirming effectiveness reliability method. carries reference quality.

A New Screening Evaluation Method for Carbon Dioxide Miscible Flooding Candidate Reservoirs

Prior to the implementation of CO2 injection EOR projects, the screening evaluation of candidate reservoirs will promote the economic benefits of CO2 injection. Currently, a uniform screening method for CO2 miscible flooding does not exist. Based on more than 112 successfully implemented CO2 miscible flooding reservoirs, which was referred in 2010 Worldwide EOR Survey, and CO2 miscible flooding...

A Crossplot for Mud Logging Interpretation of Unconventional Gas Shale Reservoirs and its Application

The drilling time data of gas logging are used to calculate drilling time ratio of the reservoir, and the total hydrocarbon data are used to calculate hydrocarbon contrast coefficient and to establish the drilling time ratio--hydrocarbon contrast coefficient crossplot. The standards of distinguishing the boundaries of hydrocarbon zones, hydrocarbonaceous water layers and dry layers are determin...

Porosity Logging

The porosity of a zone can be estimated either from a single “porosity log” (sonic, density, neutron, or magnetic resonance log) or a combination of porosity logs, in order to correct for variable lithology effects in complex reservoirs. In the carbonates, mineral mixtures are primarily drawn from calcite, dolomite, and quartz (either as sand grains or as chert); anhydrite and gypsum may also o...

Integrating Embedded Discrete Fracture and Dual-Porosity, Dual-Permeability Methods to Simulate Fluid Flow in Shale Oil Reservoirs

Abstract: The oil recovery factor from shale oil remains low, about 5 to 7% of the oil in place. How to increase oil recovery from shale oil reservoirs is attracting more and more attention. CO2 huff-and-puff was historically considered one of the best approaches to improve the oil rate. Most previous simulation studies have been based on dual porosity, but simulation results from dual-porosity...
